Are you running a high volume oil pump? These are known to break pump shafts and could contribute to excessive gear wear.

2wd with transfer case
Anybody see why this wouldn't wotk. I am planning out a Dune hopper/Prerunner that can be steet driven and was wondering about using a chain driven transfer case in a 2wd. I was looking at removing the chain and letting the front output flange just free spin. This would give me a selectable low rang...

I am 6'3" and have found that the roof dips down right behind the seat on the extended cab, right where my head should be.

The E4OD is a HUGE transmission compared to the A4LD. I helped a friend drop his from a '93 F150 and it was everything we had to keep from being crushed under it. No trans jack at the time.

Easiest to get entire turbo motor from t-bird with harness and computer. It will require a little fab work because the t-bird uses a Vane air meter instead of a MAF. The Clevor - 351 windsor shortblock with Cleveland heads and intake - has been done for Mustangs and could be a usable option. Edlebrock has recently come out with aluminum heads and intake for the swap.

Isnt a Cleavland still a small block? I thought Big blocks were only 429/460 and FE motors.
