Want to thank Dave & Grumpy!
As im finally approaching the finishing touchs to my 5.0 swap, I just wanted to thank Dave, Grumpy, brandon & the v8 forum, rangerstation forum for all the advice & help. I fired up my truck and felt really good to hear it fire up. Most of the swap was plug & play except for the ECU &...

Re: Digital Computer Guage cluster
I heard back from tech & even though I was told it could work on a v8 motor it has never been tried on a ranger v8 swap so pretty much it would be a research & development deal on my part and I could get mixed results. Kinda sucks

Since im still in the process of finishing up my motor swap and I currently dont have a dash in my truck but have a guage cluster off an explorer 5.0, would it be possible to install a digital computer reading gauge cluster and do away with the OEM guage cluster. Will the truck turn on with the guag...

Re: Couple of questions regarding fuel pressure regulator
Ebay had some helpful info on the core demensions for the radiator difference. on the 5.0 the core measures H 20 3/4 x W 23 5/8 x T 1. On the 3.0 it measures 20 3/4 x 23 1/8 x 1 or 20 1/2 x 25 5/8 x1. They do sell thicker core radiators but may be different in demensions on the OEM specs. Not much d...

Re: Ladder Bar's vs stock springs and trac-bars
Ive used trac bars in the past but they limit suspension travel. The work well keeping suspension from swaying. But raises your chances for a roll over.

Couple of questions regarding fuel pressure regulator
Does any one happen to have a pic of the location of the aftermarket aeromotive fuel pressure regulator on the motor?
Also does the explorer 5.0 radiator thicker in the middle than the ranger 3.0 radiator?
thanks

Re: Fuel Compensation Sensor?
@ cgrey fuel compensation sensor is the flex fuel sensor its the sensor under the driver side mounted on the frame rail. Compensates the difference in E85 from 87 so that the motor still runs the same as any 87 unleaded vehicle would. I did some research but hit walls every where I went except when ...

Re: Fuel Compensation Sensor?
20 below is pretty damn cold. I sure hope to get an answer or il just remove it & see what happens to the trucks performance when it goes to the dealership in a couple of months. The quick release steering is awesome, wish ford had made a ranger like the ford raptor.
