I have 200 miles on it. does not effect the way it runs at all just the noise. Sounds like what we used to call a dead lifter. I had heard bad things about every lifter Mfg. out there so i went with FRP lifters. I guess i will change them out with Comp lifters.

1 noisy lifter
In my new 302 I used new comp rockers, new comp pushrods. new ford racing roller lifters and i have 1 noisy lifter. They are all adjusted the same and the nuts are with in .002 of each other in distance down the stud. Any ideas before i tear it down and replace the lifters? It is positively a lifter...

Re: Build is complete
I will get some pics posted later today. The fan is a Derale 1 piece steel good for 10,000 rpm, might look funny because of the 3" spacer. I ended up with more room than i figured. I am in the process of building a shroud and it will be installed in a week or so. Also i did not have to modify t...

Build is complete
I started this build in Oct. and just finished last weekend. It started out as a 1999 4 cyl stick. Now it has a 1989 virgin roller block 5.0 with a lot of goodies and a TCI C4 trans. The engine checked out on the dyno at 396hp. I have over 100 photos of this build which on a 99 coil spring is differ...

Re: My Build update
Around this area they have a cruse in every week at a local restaurant and it attracts 25-30 nice hotrods every week, also within a 100 mile radius there is a regular car show open to any type of car or truck every month. The first one we are trying to go to is at Lane Automotive last year there wer...

My Build update
Well with help from some of you guys my build is getting close to complete. It started out as a 99 stepside show truck with a 2.5/5 sp stick. Now the engine is done and installed along with the new TCI trans. I bought a 89 virgin HO block and started from there. All other parts are new except the he...

Re: Motor mounts
I don't know if this will help but here are a couple of views of the frame and the mount holes. This is a show truck and i want the mounts to look as neat as possible. I like the brackets in the drawings and would like to replicate them. Is there a way of getting a readable copy of the prints? Thank...

Re: Motor mounts
Dave Thanks for the info What model are the 4.0 sohc v6 mounts from? I can't read the part number on your print and a 4.0 v6 sohc does not show up for a ranger. I have the 1999 4.0 v6 mounts i just received and one is different from the other one. That is no problem i can redrill the holes if needed...

Motor mounts
I am doing a V8 swap into a 99 ranger 2wd with coil springs. What motor mounts will work in this swap? I have read that V6 mounts and a special home made plate will work good. My V6 mounts arrived today and they look like the motor will be too high. I have not trial fitted the block to them yet, but...

Re: Fuel Pump
Thanks for the info saves a lot of hassle not having to pull the tank. I have found some regulators available but i don't trust them to regulate that much pressure. I have a lot of work left to do, this is a show truck and it is getting all new suspension parts and the frame cleaned and painted prio...

Fuel Pump
Hi I am new to this forum so if this question has been asked too many times before i'm sorry. I am in the middle of a 1999 v8 swap. I am installing a 1989 5.0 HO with forged pistons, comp cam and a elderbrock 625 carb. My question is The truck was originally a fuel injected 2.5. Is it best to remove...
