Repairing an old tire plug
Ok first off, I have insufficent funds. Wife is starting back to school this semster, and these tires have about 10-15k life left (also according to the warrenty). So replacing one tire not an option for me. When I had the tires and rotated and balanced last fall, the guy said there was a nail in on...

Re: Explorer V8 parts (and one mustang part)
Ok ran into a problem taking the throttle bodies off. I could not get one of the bolts off the 96 elbow with hand tools. So naturally I used the impact, and the head snapped clean off. Got the throttle body off, but that bolt was extremely rusted. About a half inch is still sticking up, so maybe wit...

Re: Explorer V8 parts (and one mustang part)
Yup, got them both. Through paypal is the safest, protects us both. Which one do you want? The one on the right is exclusively 96 the other is 97 and up. Want me to take some closer pictures?

Re: 351W swap?
The only clearance issue I can think of is with the heater and a/c box. Since the 351 is a little taller and wider, it interferes with it more. And depending on how low the engine sets in there, I may have to be deleted all together. Its been awhile since I researched it, so just going off my fuzzy ...

Re: first time swap
You can use a mustang harness and ecu, but the main wires that go to the ecu may need modification to hook up to the port. It would be easier for you if you could find a junked out v8 explorer, cause everything is located in the same places and is just a plug and play. And the ecu of the explorer ca...

Re: first time swap
Howdy First off, it does depend on how much your willing to spend. L & L products of some no brainier motor mounts that make it easier and set the motor about as low as possible. The also make a set of swap shorty headers, but a little over priced. James Duff makes some full lengths for this con...

Re: SOS intake swap
Can I get a AMEN!!! Finally got it running like it should. Apparently, the ecu didn't like the E8 tps sensor, so put the old E6 back on, since I found that nothing was really wrong with it. Now I have to remove the upper intake and tighten the lower intake bolts since I got it up to temp. Been a lon...

Re: SOS intake swap
Never mind, I'm a blind man . I believe I found my problem, in taking the intake off to check the throttle flap, the intake tube came off the mass air sensor. Will attempt restart tomorrow, had to many other things going on.

Re: SOS intake swap
Ok new issue. Got the won't idle then idle at 2500 after 10 seconds fixed. My throttle cable my brother kind of buggered up was holding it open some causing a 1.7 volt reading on the tps. Now, it just won't idle no matter how much I turn the set screw in. Also I believe I have a dead cell in my batt...
