Re: Max mounting depth of door speakers in 89-92 Ranger
when I did mine on the 2002 ranger I took a straight edge across the hole and a tape measure and measured to door skin with window down, making sure nothing was in the way. Early ranger's doors are pretty thin though.

Re: Wiring on 2002 Ranger V8 swap
Didn't know that type of fuel pump existed, so I'm guessing there is no regulator on the fuel rail?

Re: Wiring on 2002 Ranger V8 swap
As for fuel rails both are returnless, they mention you have to get the pump and regulator out of the explorer tank. Not sure what kind of regulator it has in tank. For the transfer case the swaps I found use a 2wd 4r70w with an adapter from advanced adapters to bolt it to the ranger transfer case. ...

Wiring on 2002 Ranger V8 swap
Just sitting at work reading some forums, but according to a tech article over at ranger station, if you have a 95-2000 Explorer motor and a 98+ it is a drop a go swap, they don't have much explanation as far as wiring leading you to believe that the harness mates. Would it be that simple in a 2002 ...

Re: 2000 Explorer swap into 88 ranger
Well, stroke of genius here (maybe) what about a frame swap? Mounting spots close for the 88 ranger vs the 92 explorer?

Re: 2000 Explorer swap into 88 ranger
No its 2wd, that is what I'm wondering. If the front end of the explorer is (i guess I'm meaning modular) able to unbolt and slide into the ranger. If it is a HUGE project may just stick with 2wd.

2000 Explorer swap into 88 ranger
Well its that time again, I have pretty well wrapped up my 331 swap into my tbird. I think I'm going to stiffen its body up and make it more of a road race car. Now I want something mild performance that I can drive. I mentioned in another post I have a 2000 explorer motor, trans and wiring. I'm sol...

Re: Help with parts needed for 2000 Explorer Ecu swap
You can get a valve body to make it full manual (no electronics except for toggle for overdrive and convertor) for 650 from broader performance. Considering controller is 500 that is fine with me.

Re: Help with parts needed for 2000 Explorer Ecu swap
Althougth if you do happen to find your's I wouldn't mind it. I found some for the Tbird but some were WAY better than others. The one on Roth Fam's site is the best I've seen (for tbird).

Re: Help with parts needed for 2000 Explorer Ecu swap
Ya I have a diagram of the explorer, I may just keep my Carb and drop this in the ranger then, put 4r70 in my car and c4 in truck. Some 4.11's in the truck and just play with it at the track.

Help with parts needed for 2000 Explorer Ecu swap
Car is 88 turbocoupe 331 carb swap. Going to try and mount top end of 2000 explorer on my car and use the 4r70w. I have the ecu and complete engine + harness and body harness. So I will need a maf correct? and if so what would work best, I noticed SVO lightning ones are cheap. Bigger injectors, look...

Re: SOOO question
First like to say THANK YOU Chris, talked with Adam, extremely nice guy. From what I'm hearing he can tune my mods in, disable all the non-used stuff (pats eletronic doorlocks etc) and he knows a guy close to where I'll be moving that can finish the tuning up. Sounds like it should be a pretty cut a...
