How much boost can I safely do on the stock internals of my 1990 5.0L in my
Ranger?? Do you think it will handle 12 to 14psi without being a bomb??

Looks real good... Its missing something tho, I'm not saying that in a bad way, its just missing something in looks in the back half.. Front has hood scoop and air dam, back has nothing... Again I don't mean that in a bad way, I think the truck looks great...

Why did you cut the fire wall? Why not just move the motor up? Looks like you have lots of room to have been able to move the motor forward..

use the original harness, just remove what you don't use

I used a GM style HEI distributor.. Very simple. Drop it in, one wire hookup, and it starts right up. Two wires if you have a tach. I think it coast me like $75. NEW...

I dont see a problem with it....

I used my stock V6 mounts and have never had a problem... Just made the flat plate and can put the motor as far up or as far back as you want... My V6 mounts are still the ones that where put in it in 86..

I will stick with my stock ( still original ) motor mounts.. These mounts have given me no problems.. Not bad considering they are 26 years old...

:) I hope to swap a V8 in my '01 one day. I think a 3V 4.6 would be nice... With one of those whistling intake manifolds. Mine may not be a 4.6, but I do like the whistle/wine it makes.. lol... My drivers side mount is thicker and triple thick where it bolts to the engine so it will sit level HERE ...

Mine are flat and I have no problems....

You can also go buy a new t-stat housing for a 90's 5.0 and it will have a plug in it that you can remove and put your sensor in..
