The motor may be tilted up in the front, I think thats pretty normal, but is the intake level? Unless its running out of gas in the bowls or over flowing I wouldnt adj them.. Doesnt the carb have a site window on it so you can see how much gas is in the bowl?

I dont know nothing about the MSD ignitions. But, I used an HEI distributor in mine. It looks just like its a GM dist but its made for a Ford. I have had no problems and it was very cheap to buy... The exhaust comes out the center of the engine since the air goes in where the exhaust normally comes out on traditional engines.
