rear end swap

I am buying a complete rear end from a 97 Explorer. I'm getting the emergency brake cable as far forward as the front seat bottom, that is where it was cut. I also am getting the master cylinder. Do I need the brake booster? Is there anything else that I need? By the way, it is a 3:73 limited slip a...

Merry Christmas everyone. I have enjoyed reading, learning, and getting to know all of you. Dave, I envy your white Christmas. I've seen only one in my 58 years. That was two years ago here in Alvin. By sundown the next day it was all gone. I suppose the novelty would wear off after a while. I hope ...

Congratulations Cee. Sounds like Abagail Grace may be a tall lady. Is this your first? We have started to have grandchildren around our house. So far only boys. We look forward to spoiling our first little girl. When our daughter was born she was "daddy's sweet baby." Any time that I asked...

Larry J, I am glad that you came through your surgery o.k. Last week I asked my men's breakfast prayer group to pray for Chris and for you. I didn't have your name then and they looked at me kind of funny when I asked for them to pray for 87sc302. It gave me an opportunity to tell them about you guy...

Chris, I'm glad that everything went as well as it did. I hope by now that your pain has subsided somewhat and that you are getting around a little better. I am sorry for not wishing you well sooner, I have been out of pocket for a couple of days. God bless you my brother and be ready to answer a lo...

I'm having trouble with my daughter's Focus. For a couple of weeks now when you put the key in the ignition, it won't turn. After taking it out and trying several times it finally turns and cranks. Is this just a bad tumbler or something more serious? Is it going to be difficult to remove and replac...

  • so you only used the drivers side bracket? The smog bracket from the mustang didn't interfere with the frame? Did you just just measure the circuit to determine belt size? Is there anything I haven't asked?

accessory brackets

Malcom, I seem to remember in your red ranger build that you spaced the explorer accessory brackets forward to line up your belts. What water pump are you running and how much space did you have to create?

Chris, I'm sorry to hear about your news. I'm glad that the Dr. says you are going to be all right. It is impossible to know or even completely relate to what you are feeling right now unless we have been through it ourselves. Praise God I have not experienced cancer. I will say that I am praying fo...

Hope you all have a blessed Thanksgiving

Along with the fact that I am thankful for my family, my health, good friends and a job, I am very thankful for the help and what feels like a friendship with all of you. I am thankful that this board doesn't have any trashy language, that there is no name calling and that no matter how many times t...

congrats Dave. I don't think I can pull together the funds to retire with only about eight years left. Been feeling really stupid about my money management the last few years. Just gotta do what I can. I envy your position though. Can't tell you the number of projects that I wish I had the time to f...

I've been thinking about running the short pipe from the right side across to the left side at the back and letting the left pipe run straight out the right side after it comes across from the drivers side. Will this work? It would keep the two pipes a more equal length.
