Re: Driving my turbocharged v8 ranger

^ Thanks!
You are probably right but I was just guessing since I have no idea what i'm making, but I think is a little more than the na 347 stroker that I had before :D
Hopefully I'll dyno tune it after I fix my overheating problem which will be soon

Re: I've gone Turbo!!!

302project. I don't know what the internals of that moroso can look like (one way valves or anything?) but to me it looks like you've essentially just added a breather to the valve covers, or rather a remote breather. I don't believe you will ever see anything in that can, not even a drop as you st...

Re: I've gone Turbo!!!

Stock setups are notorious for allowing the oil to get all in the intake, coat the runners, and all that for sure. Newer engines have gotten better at separating the oil before letting it return, but these older engines are still quite suceptable to oil getting into the intake. Even my 97 Explorer ...

Re: I've gone Turbo!!!

^^ Unfortunately I'm not pulling any vacuum, I wish I could bolt a vacuum pump but with the power steering pump and the alternator I don't have room for one but with this setup the gases exit from the valve cover to the catch can and that air filter is just to filter the gases coming out of the can ...

Re: I've gone Turbo!!!

Again I could be wrong but I don't think that hooking the hose at the front is going to make a difference. The same oil that is being pushed up in the back is being pushed up in the front. And so far I don't think that the pressure is that bad since I have ran the truck hard several times in the pas...

Re: My Build Thread

I think that both the box and the seats were a hell of a deal!

How much does a roll cage like that run? I might have to do that since my truck is kinda
fast now  to be able to run at the track.

But if you can paint the chassis, it will look very clean

Re: I've gone Turbo!!!

If you say that the old trucker had a header evac kit and was sucking oil out during acceleration is because I read somewhere that it creates too much vacuum and you have to put a valve in between so that doesn't happen but I'm really not sure but I don't have to worry about that because I'm not cre...

Re: I've gone Turbo!!!

^^ interesting.. I'll keep that in mind but what about the harness? You know that the stock mustang harness for the oxygen sensor is like a Y. Or there's a harness kit for just one?

Thanks

Re: I've gone Turbo!!!

Well it really isn't a stock tune but the tuner told me that I could go on boost as long as I don't rev it at idle(creating boost) and my AFR close to WOT is 11.8 a little rich but this is for now until I
fix my overheating problems then I'll take the truck back to the tuner for a fine tuning.

Re: I've gone Turbo!!!

After a few runs including the one that I video taped, the truck started to smoke like it was a concert smoking machine so I decided to stop that by installing a moroso breather tank http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u47/302project_photos/FILE0023.jpg Here is the bracket that I made that is going t...

Re: Driving my turbocharged v8 ranger

I was thinking E85 could probably handle 25PSI on gasoline compression. Thus you could build the engine to run that much pressure when you wanted to race it and fill it with E85. But if this was to be a frequently driven vehicle too, you could run pump gas...and of course for safety, you'd want to ...
