I've allways ran the felpro 1487 gaskets on my ford motorsport j302 heads, it's a steel gasket with a high temp coating.

well you know, thats where I found most of my info for getting the correct explorer rear to chop. it was way cheaper than building my ranger 8.8.
ther should be an online photo album for people to showcase there vehicles and mods, to help give others visual perspective when explaning something.

vasco shaft, solid foward drum,reverse manual vavle body, large aluminum pan. still in trans, will seperate, had converter problems and put in an aod, only 2,500 miles on c-4, so all the clutches bands and plates a probly still good. just needs flushed and a new converter. also have a 157 tooth flex...

the best place for ranger technical info for parts swapping on rangers is therangerstation.com it can give you info on motors, rears, transmissions, for rangers and explorer parts that can be swaped to rangers. just look under the tech section.

you know, if you have the mount with the rubber bushings on each side you can just tap out the two 6'' bolts that hold it in. alot easier than than removing the frame brackets. and if you put a removable section in your front suspenion brace like i described to someone else it gives you more room fo...

I'm running cobra 17/9's up front with 275/40's and afc cobras 17/10.5 in the rear with 315/35's with two inches of drop all around. the back tires just fit without hitting the bed or leafs all i did was trim the flange in in the wheel well. i had chopped an explorer rear wich allowed precise alignm...

I'm glad that worked for you, the point I was really going at is that in the northeast you can get an explorer rear with disc,posi,31'splineslarger bearings, larger axle tubes for 300 dollars.

on my setup i run a 77-93 timing cover with a meziere electric pump a griffen two core with a perma cool 16''fan with a hi flow tharmastat that has two .150 drilled in it, runs good.

look under the vehicle and you will see four bolts with goofy lock nuts attached to the tops cut the channels just to the inside of the holes then get a peice of sqare tube steel that will fit in the channel weld two peices of steel perpendicular to the brace so they line up with the holes +--------...
