Yeah $20 is well worth it if say you're changing your oil at 5K miles but your oil is good till 8 or 10K miles. One oil change and it's paid for itself. On the other hand if they tell you hey your oil is depleted and should have been changed at 3 or 4k miles well then you probably just saved yourself an early engine rebuild.
I didn't think the $20 was to bad to take the guess work out of it.
