3g alternater

has anybody wired up the 94-95 mustang 3g alt. in thier rangers if so what wires go where i know the blk/orn goes to bat side of soliniod which one goes to the acc to trigger the exciter

I'll be needing this info as well...89 harness colors that match to 97 harness colors.

My 89 Ranger alternator connections look nothing like the 97 Alternator. In fact, I think the 97 Alt has more wires, but I could be wrong on that one. I just noticed that will be yet another set of wire splices.

If I'm not good at soldering wires together now (which I'm not), I'll certainly get good practice by the end of this project.

I have a 3g in my red truck. It just plugged right into my 92 Ranger harness. I didn't have to do anything. I will take a look tonight and see if my wire colors match up with yours and see if I can be of any help.

i dug into a little deeper the big blk/orn goes to the bat side of solinoid the yellow goes to a constant hot and the green goes to a acc that comes on with the key switch
