Cool, thanks a million. I'm sure that's where the problem lies then. Mine has been full of fluid both times I pulled it out. It seems they would have put a sealed bearing there to begin with huh?
I have mine almost back together, but I ran into a small issue with the hydraulic throwout bearing. I have too much clearance, so I have to send the piston back and have them send me a longer one to make it work. It is supposed to have .100 to .300 clearance so it can self adjust. I have about .410. Once I get that straight, all I have to do is bolt the gearbox back in and put the x-fer case back on once I get that bearing for the adapter. Thanks again.
: OK here what A&A told me There should be no fluid in between those two cases. The trans fluid should stay in the trans and the fluid for the T-case should stay in the T-case. But this we already know. So the bearing on the stub shaft is leaking fluid in between the two cases. Bearing # is 6209-ZZ NAPA. Good luck change it and let me know He said it was a cheap bearing......
