I know for a fact that the non-HO's are roller cam. I have one :-)
The firing order for the non-HO is the 302 order, the HO is the 351 order, but they're both definitely roller (at least from '86-up - the HO went to roller in '85 - not sure if the non-HO went to roller in '85, too)
