New guy here. I'm in now way qualified to offer advice as I'm just in the planning stages of a swap. One thought comes to mind though.
Even though the PB is there, some PBs have loose needle bearings that can easily come loose - they are basically held in with grease. Are all of the needle bearings still in the right place?
Now that it is out of the truck this idea is a little late but I bought a cheapo "mechanic's stethescope" from Harbor Freight for about $5 that has helped me a few times diagnosing the source of a noise.
