Found this at one of the F150 sites. Power Surge Performance sells chips that now have the feature to disable the PATS. Am going to call them in the morning to see what they have for us.
Below is what was said.
"PSP is pleased to announce that we are now offering the option to disable the PATS system with our chip. Due to the recent onslaught of unfair and bias warranty denials by Ford, we are now offering the customer the means to have a spare PCM, and not need to bring it to the dealer for it to be swapped.

"What this means, is you can have your stock untouched PCM coaded to your truck, then you put our chip on a second PCM, and when you install it, the chip will disable the PATS system and the truck will start, with no need to code the new PCM to the truck. Then when you need to go in for service, you put your stock PCM back in and it's still coaded for the truck.

The only downside to this (other than the theft system being disabled), is that the theft light will flash while the truck is running. There is niothing we can do about that, it's part of the theft system, and can't be shut off through the PCM. A piece of black tape could block it out, like people used to do with check engine lights years ago.

Anyway, it's just another option I wanted to offer to our customers. There is no extra cost, just ask for the 'PATS disable" when you order your chip, or send one in for a reburn.at all they can do for us. "
