if you get a flip kit you can mount the springs under the axle, but you'll also lower the truck 3-4 inches in the rear. james duff (i think) makes a traction bar kit that mounts on top of the leaf springs, using the u-bolts, then runs to the frame near the front mount for the leaf spring. mine is already flipped and lowered so i dont have ground clearance for the slapper type ladder bar so i'm gonna try the duff kit. i have to make a mounting plate since my ubolts mount upside down.
