: 6209-2ZJ, The part number I posted as a cross reference for 6209-ZZ is NOT a sealed bearing. It is double sheilded just like the original one. According to the cross reference information that Dave posted for us, you'll have to be careful about the ZZ suffix as well. One manufacturer lists the ZZ suffix as double sealed, while others list it as double sheilded. I didn't have time to search for a different bearing, so I just put it back together with the new one and tried to take some extra precautions to make sure it won't leak. It shouldn't make any difference whether there's fluid in the housing or not, it still shouldn't leak unless there are flaws in the casting. I'm back up and running now, so I'll let you know soon if it's leaking or not.

Thanks for the good news,it's a problem with the fluid in the case it's not suppose to be there, thats straight from A&A. RTV (really tight virgin) does't work it leaks. So I know a guy who works for permatex and he recomends PERMATEX ANAEROBIC GASKET MAKER ITEM # 5183 this is supose to be better then RTV silicon. With this and the new SEALED bearing it better work good luck with yours JOE......
