302 vs. 302 H.O.

Looking into engines, I know there are differences between 302s and 302HOs. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the timing order is different which pretty much guarantees the cam will be different (don't know about crank). Is the cam and distributor wiring (firing order) the only differences or are there actual block casting differences between these 2 engines?

Where can I find more info on these motors, what's similar, what's different, differences in computer (if there is a difference).

So far, I've been focusing mostly on all the issues that may/will arise with getting a V8 into the truck, I've kindof neglected researching the more generic portion of the project which is building the engine itself and choosing the right parts for the power/fuel economy I'm looking for.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
