Right there's all kinds of noises when the wheels are spinning free. Just as the idle surges you can hear the gears sloping and clanking. With a small amount of load though I didn't get all the noises I had before the rebuild. Of course I couldn't really load it up, get the wheels spinning as though it was doing 70mph and then climb under it.
I'll do another test drive tonight. Maybe put on 10 or 20 miles. Come home and see if it's started eating up the yolk.
Another odd thing I noticed while spinning the wheels is that the driver's side rear wheel seems to have a slight wobble to it. You can't really tell until you stand behind or infront of the vehicle and look at the side profile and then you can see it has a wobble. Not sure if it's bad enough I need to worry just yet. I checked the passanger's side and no noticable wobble. I guess I might have a bent driver's side axle too?
